About the Pastor

Daniel Wiedenhoff was born in Smyrna, TN and lived most of his life in San Diego, CA.  He was raised by his  mother along with his four siblings; Mark, Kathy, John and Amy.  He grew up in the City Heights area of San Diego until he graduated from Hoover High School and later went to Weber State to play college football and returned home in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts.

During his time in college he received the Lord  but never fully developed a personal relationship with Jesus.  As a college football player he was caught up in the party scene with girls, alcohol and drugs.  1988 He  began attending Horizon Christian Fellowship and rededicated his life to Jesus and was completely set-free and healed.

In 1991 he married his wife Filoiann and they have two children Sarah and James.  At Horizon Christian Fellowship he began serving as an alter-call counselor and home fellowship bible teacher.  He later moved to the downtown branch called Horizon Park Chapel and continued his serving as a home fellowship bible teacher.

In 1995 he was ordained as an Elder by his Pastor, Rob Glickman.  In 1999 he was ordained as an Associate Pastor.  In 2003 God had given Dan a vision to start an urban ministry in the city he grew up in, City Heights, CA and he and his wife began praying.

In 2005 God gave Dan the confirmation it was time to step out by faith to carry out the vision and Pastor Rob graciously sent him out with his blessing.
